Compared with nickel-cadmium batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries, lithium batteries have the advantages of high volume-to-energy ratio, small size, light weight, high working voltage, no memory effect (can be charged and taken out at any time), environmental protection and pollution-free, and are currently the most Advanced battery, but the downside is that it is expensive. Therefore, to give full play to the energy efficiency of lithium batteries, pay attention to the maintenance of lithium batteries during daily use and storage, and master the knowledge of how to store lithium batteries for a long time. Each will be described below.
Daily maintenance of lithium batteries:
- The newly purchased lithium battery will have a little power, so the user can use it directly after getting the battery, and charge it after using up the remaining power. After 2~3 times of normal use, the activity of the lithium battery can be fully activated. .Here is a special reminder: Don't trust the salesperson or the rumors on the Internet. The new lithium battery needs to be activated for up to 12 hours for the first use.
- Lithium batteries have no memory effect and can be charged on demand, but it should be noted that lithium batteries cannot be over-discharged, and over-discharge will cause irreversible capacity loss. When the machine prompts that the battery is low, it will start charging immediately.
- In daily use, the newly charged lithium battery should be put on hold for half an hour, and then used after the charging performance is stable, otherwise the battery performance will be affected.
- When the instrument is not in use, be sure to take out the battery and store it in a dry and cool place.
- Pay attention to the operating environment of the lithium battery: the charging temperature of the lithium battery is 0°C to 45°C, and the discharge temperature of the lithium battery is -20°C to 60°C.
- Do not mix the battery with metal objects, lest the metal objects touch the positive and negative electrodes of the battery, causing a short circuit, damaging the battery or even causing danger.
- Do not knock, acupuncture, step on, refit, or expose the battery to sunlight, and do not place the battery in microwave, high-voltage and other environments.
- Use the regular matching lithium battery charger to charge the battery, do not use inferior or other types of battery chargers to charge the lithium battery.
