At GEB (General Electronics Battery), we specialize in the global export of lithium battery products. We understand that logistics is a critical component of B2B trade, especially for energy products. This policy outlines our commitment to safe, compliant, and efficient delivery for our global partners.

Dangerous Goods (DG) Compliance Statement:
Lithium batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods (UN3480 / UN3481). We strictly adhere to all international transportation regulations, including IATA (Air), IMDG (Sea), and ADR (Road), to ensure your shipments arrive safely and pass customs smoothly. All our shipments are supported by valid UN38.3 test reports and MSDS documents.

1. International Trade Terms (Incoterms)

We support standard Incoterms to meet diverse business needs. Please confirm your preferred term with our sales team before placing an order:

EXW (Ex Works): You arrange pickup from our Shenzhen warehouse. We provide professional packing and export documents.

FOB (Free on Board): We cover costs to deliver goods to the port of origin (Shenzhen/Hong Kong). You handle the main freight and import customs.

CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): We arrange freight and insurance (covering 110% of invoice value) to your destination port. You are responsible for import customs clearance and duties.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): We handle the entire process, including shipping, customs clearance, and duty payment, delivering directly to your door.
*Note: DDP availability depends on specific product types and destination regulations.

2. Estimated Transit Time

Shipping times depend on the destination and shipping method. Please refer to the estimates below:

Region Air Express (Samples) Sea Freight (Bulk)
North America (West) 7 – 12 Days 20 – 30 Days
North America (East) 7 – 12 Days 30 – 45 Days
Europe 7 – 12 Days 30 – 45 Days (Rail: 25-35 Days)
Southeast Asia 3 – 7 Days 7 – 15 Days
Middle East 7 – 12 Days 20 – 35 Days

Note: Pure battery shipments may require special routing through Hong Kong, which can add 1-2 days to the transit time.

3. Packaging Standards

Safety is our top priority. All lithium batteries are packed according to the latest IATA and IMDG regulations:

a) Batteries are individually isolated to prevent short circuits.

b) Packed in strong, UN-certified cardboard boxes capable of withstanding a 1.2m drop test.

c) Correctly labeled with Class 9 Dangerous Goods labels and Cargo Aircraft Only (CAO) labels where applicable.

d) Palletized and shrink-wrapped for bulk sea/air shipments to ensure stability.

4. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Unless DDP terms are agreed upon, the buyer is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees at the destination country.

We provide all necessary documentation to assist with clearance, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), MSDS, and UN38.3 Certificate.

5. Shipping Restrictions

Due to the hazardous nature of lithium batteries, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or certain remote islands where DG service is unavailable. Please consult our sales team to verify shipping availability for your specific location.

6. Damaged or Lost Shipments

While we take every precaution, logistics issues can occur. Please follow these steps if issues arise:

Visible Damage: Inspect all packages immediately upon delivery. If you notice visible damage, take photos before opening and note the damage on the delivery receipt/POD.

Hidden/Internal Damage: If technical defects caused by shipping impact are found after unpacking, please provide testing reports or video evidence within 7 business days.

Reporting: Contact us immediately with photos and descriptions. We will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier or arranging a replacement.

7. Force Majeure

GEB is not liable for shipment delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, pandemics, customs inspection delays, or port congestion.
